A baptism (also known as a christening) is a celebration of your child's first steps in their journey of faith as part of the local and worldwide Christian family.
Baptisms are usually held on the first Sunday of the month, during our 10.30am Morning Worship Service. During this service, you as the parents thank God for his gift of life and make the declaration to start your child on their journey of faith, with the help and support of your chosen Godparents. The church family at St. Margaret's know how special this day is for you, and will also promise to welcome your child and to pray for you all.
Baptism is also offered to older children as well as adults. If you would like your child baptised, or are considering baptism for yourself, then please feel free to contact our Vicar or Church Wardens to discuss it in more detail. We would love to hear from you. Alternatively feel free to pop along to one of our Sunday services, where you'll always receive a warm welcome.
